My family purchased this new in Canada in the 1980s as a gift, and it has hardly been worn, so it's in very good condition.

Cowichan sweaters are hand-knitted sweaters originating from the Cowichan people, an indigenous group living on Vancouver Island, Canada. They are knitted with yarn made from undyed, unwashed wool that retains its natural oils, mixed with fibers from the bark of the Western Red Cedar. They were originally worn by hunters and fishermen for their waterproof and cold-resistant properties.
This is a thick, heavy knit with a lot of volume.
It's heavy, but since it's sleeveless, it's lighter than a long-sleeved sweater and is recommended.
You don't have to worry about the sleeve length or cuffs.
