With its marine-grade stainless steel casing, AXIS Q3517-SLVE is designed to be resistant to the corrosive effects of seawater, detergents and other harsh chemicals. It can also withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -50 °C to 60 °C (-58 °F to 140 °F).

Electronic image stabilization keeps the picture steady when the camera is exposed to vibrations. The casing is also vandal resistant with IK10+ rating.
