Lovely, colorful top to the powder case, depicting a gent offering flowers to his sweetheart – in green print it reads Limoges France at the bottom of the porcelain. The lid is hinged and when lifted it reveals a powder receptacle, powder sifter, as well as a mirror on the inside lid (powdery, but is in good shape.) On the opposite side to the scene is a beveled mirror - double mirrors is rather unusual and rare.
The metal handled case is heavily gold tone plated; it measures 4 ½” x 2 ¼” x ½”; overall it is in excellent vintage condition. From the 1950s.
